Have fun and make new friends who love being outdoors, while enhancing and protecting our park!
We always welcome new members to our Friends group.
We now have two types of memberships:
General Membership- Annual Fee (The annual fee supports the funding of park maintenance equipment and materials, interpretive aides, and organizational events). As a General Member, feel free to attend all or any of the Friends events/meetings.
Associate Membership- Four (4) volunteer hours per year in lieu of annual fee…a good choice for students or those with limited time to commit; this is a great path to achieving your MN Master Naturalist hours commitment! Please reach out to Dave Detert, Friends President, and let him know of your intention to become an Associate Member.
Annual Fee Payment: Joining the Friends of Nerstrand Big Woods can be done one of two ways (individual members ship is $20, family $35 and business $100).
The first and preferred way is to pay your membership dues by using the Parks and Trails link
The other option is to mail a check to- Friends of Nerstrand Big Woods State Park, P.O. Box 105, Nerstrand, MN. 55053.
This option is not tax deductible.
We are also taking donations for the Friends of Nerstrand Big Woods Land Acquisition Fund.
